Navratri is a festival close to my heart. Garba and the confectionaries are partly the cause of it, but there is something most people overlook – “Feminisim”. You were not expecting that one, did you? The auspicious festival of Navratri is actually celebrated to rejoice over the defeat of the demon “Mahishasura” who was granted immortality by Lord Brahma. The only catch being, that he could be defeated by a woman. Assuming it was beneath any female to outwit him, Mahishasura created a havoc not only at Earth, but in heaven as well. It was Goddess Durga who finally lead to his downfall. An authentic story on the power women carry, and a one men often ignore, is not it?
But I would not get into the controversial topic of Feminism today. Rather what I have to bring to the table, shall stir every woman’s interest. This blog shall enlist trends in Navratri outfits and jewelry that you can look out for, while you are off Navratri Shopping
