How to Select The Right Bleach For Your Face?

The proven reasons for using a bleach on skin are wanting a lighter or brighter complexion, getting rid of facial imperfections, and looking beautiful. It also evens out the skin and hides unwanted hair. Skin bleaching started during the 50s and since has been quite popular among women.

Before we get to know the types and popular bleaches available in the market, let us know how do they work on our skin.

More melanin in the skin might lead to the problems like pigmentation, hyperpigmentation, and darker skin. Beaching helps get rid of the extra melanin from the skin due to the presence of a chemical called hydrogen peroxide.

  • Types Of Lipsticks! – An Easy Guide For You

Types Of Lipsticks! – An Easy Guide For You

Give a woman the right lipstick, and she can conquer the world!

According to a study, on average a woman owns 7 lipsticks. Out which she uses 2.6 quite frequently.

So many lipsticks are available in the market and yet sometimes we get messed up in which kind is the right one for us. So to make this task simpler for you, we at StyleFundas, have come up with a list of various kinds of lipsticks available in the market and their purposes.

Have a look at them below. But before that, let us know what is lipstick made of anyway?

Most lipsticks are made from three basic ingredients: wax, oil, and pigment. The pigment is the color. Waxes provide shape and a spreadable texture. Oils such as petrolatum, lanolin, cocoa butter, jojoba, castor, and mineral are added for moisture.

    1) Crème Lipstick

Crème lipsticks glide easily over your lips giving it a creamy effect with a hint of gloss. They have more wax and are very moisturizing. They are comfortable to wear and stay on for longer durations.

    2) Lip Gloss

The name says it all. Their glossy thick liquid lipstick makes your lip look more supple and healthy. It leaves a shiny finish on your lips. Available in so many lovable shades, it is most common among teenage girls.

    3) Sheer Lipstick

Made with very little tint, sheer lipstick gives a natural look to your lips and can be very moisturizing. They can be worn if you want to have a subtle look. This lipstick has a higher content of oil and is perfect for your no-makeup days.

    4) Stain/ Tint Lipstick

Stain lipsticks are not the regular types. When applied, they are absorbed by the outermost layer of your skin to give a very natural finish. They give it a more long-lasting property due to the same reason.

    5) Matte Lipstick

Matte lipsticks are smooth and sultry. They give a long-lasting finish and look sophisticated. They don’t have any glossy properties and have a velvety finish, free of shimmer. They are in a uniform color which makes them look bold and are the focus of attention.

    6) Liquid Matte Lipstick

Liquid matte lipstick, despite their glossy appearance, gives a velvety finish and are smudge-proof. They don’t smudge off easily after eating or drinking something. They apply as a liquid due to the high content of oil and polymers. When they dry out, they show an opaque and chalky finish.

    7) Lip Balm Tints

Tinted lip balms give out a very natural finish to your lips and are light. They are best to be worn on the days when you feel like not-so-heavy-lip-layering on your lips. They moisturize dry lips too and therefore they give color and protection as well.

    8) Matte Balms

They give out a natural look and subtly even out the color of your lips. They are a great way to get your lips some color without a glossy, shiny look. So when going for a no-makeup look, these are best for a casual, shine-free look.

    9) Lip Liner

Lip liner which is used to outline the lip to get a clear finish for your lipstick’s outline can also be used to fill the inner lips!! Say what? That’s right. You can use it as lipstick and no one will even know that. Its effect is just the same as a crème lipstick.

    The History Of Lipstick:

According to a source, “Based on cosmetic cases found at archaeological sites dating back to 5,000 years ago, it’s thought that Ancient Sumerians were the first to wear lipstick. These ancient cosmetics were made by mixing crushed gemstones with oils and waxes. Ancient Egyptians also wore red lipstick as an indicator of social status.”

  • Know The Myths/Facts About Hair Damage & Ways To Overcome It!

Know The Myths/Facts About Hair Damage & Ways To Overcome It!

Hair that slays, starts with Good Care!

Hair plays a very important role in your appearance and therefore its loss and damage will make any person conscious irrespective of their gender. Despite many attempts, we are somehow unable to know the root cause or find the right remedy for it. The self-doubt in us leads us to believe in what people around us say regarding hair damage.

For you to know the right facts, myths, and how to overcome hair problems, we, at StyleFundas, have listed thorough research of various reasons and solutions below to overcome hair damage.

Firstly, let us know the basic types of hair damage and the reasons behind them.

There are mainly 3 types of Hair Damage:

    1. Fragile Hair

They look frizzy, get tangled easily, lack shine, and are unmanageable. Your cuticles (the outer cellular layer of a hair) as well as your cortex are damaged due to hair color, chemical straighteners or perms, and heat styling (blow dryers, flat iron, curling iron).

    2. Dull and Unruly Hair

They have split ends and visible hair breakage. Your cuticles are damaged easily and the main cause behind that is heat, UV rays, friction, and high pH hair products.

    3. Thinning Hair

They are patchy or have slow hair growth and excessive falling out. Here, your hair follicles are damaged which are responsible for hair growth and are a living part of your hair. The main reason behind it is product build-up, excessive combing or hair brushing, extensions, and chemical treatments.

So, as we are well aware of the types of hair damage, let us know the myths and facts about hair.

    MYTHS AND FACTS:

    1)Myth:

Washing your hair every day causes hair loss.

    Fact:

Actually, washing hair every day only gets rid of the fallen-out hair. Hair fall is more related to scalp problems.

    2) Myth:

Applying a hair mask every day instead of a hair conditioner makes your hair more supple.

    Fact:

Hair masks should always be applied once a week. They cannot be a replacement for the conditioners as both have different properties and work accordingly. Applying hair masks every day will make your hair greasy and frizzy.

    3) Myth:

Stress causes grey hair- Stress has nothing to do with your hair turning grey.

    Fact:

The color of your hair depends upon the production of a pigment called melanin. Hair turns grey when melanin has completely depleted from your body. Although, stress can increase the amount of hair fall.

    4) Myth:

Sleep doesn’t affect your hair- Contrary to popular belief, sleep can affect your hair.

    Fact:

The human body produces a hormone called melatonin. This hormone helps your body regulate your sleep cycle, and has been shown to increase hair growth. If the body reduces melatonin levels, it is highly likely to cause hair loss. Sleep deprivation can eventually lead to stress, which will result in telogen effluvium hair loss.

    5) Myth:

Brush 100 strokes a day for healthy hair- Brushing your hair too much causes friction which leads to more damaged hair especially if they are fragile.

    Fact:

However, brushing gently a few times on the scalp can help distribute natural oils from root to scalp. Never brush your wet hair either as it is at its weakest and vulnerable to breakage.

    6) Myth:

Frequent trims make hair grow longer faster.

    Fact:

Huh? Hair grows from follicles in the scalp and the rest is dead. But you should trim your hair every six to eight weeks to avoid getting or removing split ends. “Splits’’ cannot be mended back or sealed back as some products claim. And if you are tired of trimming, and seeking for a good hair cut, check out our post of “Trending Haircuts for Women In Style this 2022”.

    7) Myth:

Fine, thin hair should skip conditioner.

    Fact:

No! Always condition your hair after a shampoo irrespective of your hair type. Conditioning hydrates your hair and is a part of a healthy hair regime.

    8) Myth:

Shampoos stop working after a while.

    Fact:

“Your hair gets used t it.” That is what they say. There is little evidence to support this theory although Katy Walsh of Martial Vivot Salon Pour Hommes says switching shampoos too often can actually make things worse. “Your PH balance will be off, and that can cause problems like a dry scalp and hair breakage from lack of moisture,” she explains.

    9) Myth:

Natural oils are good for your hair.

    Fact:

Natural oils cannot penetrate the hair shaft deep enough to make a lasting impact. And aside from that, it will leave your sticky residue and make your hair strands greasy.

Dos and Don’ts for your Hair Problems:

    1) Have a healthy diet

The saying, “you are what you eat” is very much applicable to your hair & skincare. A properly balanced diet is important so you can have healthy hair and skin without lacking any nutrients and proteins.

    2) Don’t stress

I know saying “don’t stress” is very simple. But try de-stressing bathing routine, exercising, or meditating to relieve stress.

    3) Keep your hair Hydrated

Keeping your hair hydrated is very important. Especially during winters when dryness seems to be everywhere. Hydrated hair doesn’t break easily and retains the nutrients longer in your hair.

    4) Spare the heat

Avoid using flat and curling irons on a regular basis. They damage your cuticles and result in damaged hair.

    5) Don’t over-process them

Perms, professional straightening, coloring, relaxers might seem healthy for your hair for a while but gradually they will harm the cuticle and lead to hair damage.

    6) Don’t over-washing

If you have an oily scalp, the temptation to wash your hair frequently is understandable. Washing them on a daily basis is okay, but washing them more than once a day might lead to stripped, straw-like hair, dried-out scalp, inflammation, and irritation.

    7) Don’t rub your wet hair with the towel

While it might seem right to rub the towel against the scalp to dry out your hair, it actually causes friction and might damage your hair cuticles as they are the most vulnerable when wet. Instead, just wrap the towel around your hair over the head, and let it absorb the water.

    8) Use lesser elastic hair ties

You might have noticed when you undo your high ponytail, a few hairs break along with the band or after its removal. It is because the scalp and cuticle are pulled and that causes hair damage. Tie your hair low sometimes, or tie them loosely when doing a bit higher ponytail.

    9) Comb carefully

Comb gently and try to untangle your hair with fingers to avoid more breakage.

    10) Rinse after swimming

If you swim frequently, rinse your hair after every swim and use the swimmer’s shampoo and conditioner to avoid damage to the hair from chlorine.

Hair damage can be frustrating and stressful, but with the correct lifestyle change and proper eating habits, it can be prevented and cured easily. I hope this was helpful to you. Try these tips and tricks and let us know how they worked out for you!

Tattoo Ideas, Types and Meaning Behind Them

Tattoos have been prominent since the centuries and have evolved and upgraded over years. There are various reasons people like to get a tattoo. Either they find it cool, or they get it in some remembrance, or they get it for their loved ones and many more.

With so many designs and tattoo styles available in the market, we might get confused sometimes. To relieve you from that stress, we at StyleFundas, have listed some types, designs, and meanings of tattoos for you to get a better understanding of them and get one of your type!

    Types of Tattoos

    1) Geometric Tattoos

In ancient times, Geometric Tattoos were tied to religious and spiritual practices. However, today, they symbolize balance, symmetry, intelligence, mastery, and much more. These tattoos also carry specific meanings, which go from universal to extremely personal. Following are the types, designs, and meanings behind the Geometric tattoos.

    1. Geometric Shapes

A circle symbolizes an endless cycle of life along with balance and harmony and a square tattoo represents the balance and stability on the earth. It represents truthfulness and a reminder of keeping you grounded.

A triangle represents strength. Any pressure put at it is evenly bearded on all three sides. The number 3, and the three sides of the triangle are associated with mystical properties. They represent the Christian faith and the Holy Trinity. The triangle is also the foundation of the Star of David, important in Judaism.

A line tattoo represents braveness. If not such a big fan of the line, you can always go for a line of other shapes to reflect braveness. You can also overlap the shapes and make a combination of these geometric designs.

    2. Animal Tattoos

Elephants and owls are often used in tattoos to symbolize wisdom. They can also represent a friend or family member whose guidance has been valuable to you.

Bears are a great means of reflecting physical power and strong will in their ink. Both men and women can get them, but usually, men tend to veer towards them. A bear is also a good reminder to believe in your great inner power.

Lions portray courage, honor, and justice. They are true fighters, the king of the jungle. They’re also an easily recognizable animal, which makes them a great tattoo for geometric style.

A bird symbolizes freedom and therefore is a great tattoo for free-spirited people and travelers. A butterfly also symbolizes freedom along with growth and rebirth. They also represent different phases of life and therefore people get them to remember and appreciate their personal growth. They are easily adaptable to geometric shapes which makes them easier to update in shapes and sizes.

    3. Diamonds & Flowers

Diamonds are a symbol of strength, purity, and endurance. They are also among the most common subjects for a geometric tattoo. Flowers are also often depicted in a mandala form. In these kinds of interpretations, the mandala represents the universe.

    4. Hearts, Arrows & Nature

A heart tattoo is a nice reminder of your loved ones that you can carry around with you. You can color it in the traditional red, or experiment with color. And arrows symbolize the way you’ll always find your way, even during hard times.

    2) Surrealism

Surrealism is undoubtedly the strangest and an impressive form of tattooing. It also takes a huge amount of creativity to think of such a design and a very skilled artist to bring that idea to life.

    A Fallen Angel

    Hummingbird

    Watercolor

    Polar Bear on Ice Glacier

    Peace Sign Tattoo

    3D Eye Tattoo

    3) Realistic Trash Polka

These tattoo designs are often abstract and seem to tell a story. They look chaotic and also have the elements of realism. They were originated from Germany. They are confusing, and at the same time beautiful.

    Deadly Vixen

    Planes at War

    Beautiful Rebellion

    Juxtaposed

    Haunting Vision

    Joker

    4) Blackwork

Blackwork art tattoo is for those minimalists who like to keep things unique and at the same time want to convey a story of their life. They are bold and mysterious. Only black ink is used while making the tattoo.

    Dinosaur

    Snake

    Nature Inspired

    Tiger Inspired Blackwork Tattoo

    Angel and Demon

    Tribal

    Medusa Inspired Blackwork Tattoo

    5) Classic Americana

These tattoos are recognized by their clean black lines, vivid colors, and minimal shading. It is one of the boldest and iconic styles of tattooing.

    Swallow

Traditional swallow tattoos are one of the most common old-school tattoo motifs. Some believed that if a sailor dies at sea, the tattooed swallow will carry his soul home to heaven. Often, a sailor would get one swallow tattooed and upon his return home, would add the second to represent the successful end of the journey.

    Anchor

At sea, the anchor is the most secure object in a sailor’s life. This security can be metaphorically also applied to important people in our lives, which is why you would commonly see “Mom” on the anchor.

    shark

Getting a shark tattoo is more about what you overcome. A shark on your arm says you’re willing to stand your ground. It says you’re not about to become someone else’s seafood.

    skull

Traditional skull tattoos carry a strong memento mori (remember your death in Latin) aspect with them. Given that we take our tattoos with us to the grave, skulls and other death themes are important in the tattoo world.

    snake

Snake Tattoos represent potency and power, rebirth, and new beginnings. There is a strong representation of a don’t-tread-on-me mentality, which gives the snake totem a powerful message of warding off evil, misfortune, and potential brawls.

    6) Realism

Realistic tattoos are inspired by the realism art movement which spawned in France in the 1850s. It was a response to the dramatic and emotional styles like romanticism that preceded it. They look very realistic like a real-life 3D object or a photograph.

This fusion of ‘Realism’ & ‘Geometric’ Tattoo styles just catches your attention! To add more life to it, you can always get the eyes of the wolf colored blue.

    7) New School

New School tattoos are basically graffiti quality tattoos with bright colors and a 3d design. This is the least stick style of tattooing.

    8) Japanese

Before World War 2, they have used to depict the social life status of people. They were also used as a charm for protection and spirituality.

    9) Biomechanical

This tattoo reflects the human body like mechanical parts and is originated from a contemporary kind of art, ‘biomechanical’. This style of tattooing has various styles which make it very unique.

  • 31 Scrunchie Hairstyles and Types of Scrunchies

31 Scrunchie Hairstyles and Types of Scrunchies

According to Wikipedia, “The Scrunchie was patented in 1987 by Rommy Revson. She created the first prototype of the Scrunchie because she wanted a gentler version of the metal hair ties used in the 1980s. Revson named the decorative hair accessory the Scunci after her pet toy poodle. The name Scrunchie was a natural evolution, because the fabric scrunched up. After patenting the Scrunchie, Revson spent most of her time in legal disputes, both with manufacturers and her own lawyers. Scrunchies were particularly popular in the 1980s and 1990s, including larger, more elaborate versions. Scrunchies regained popularity in the mid-2010s.”

Not just for fashion, but to improve your hair quality haircuts are very important. Getting a haircut every 6 weeks, not only makes it healthier and sets a vivacious hair- shine but also helps you reduce damages and reduces split-ends which is a major cause of hair fall.

2022 has already begun to outshine the hair-cuts that were in trend in 2021. The upcoming hair-cut styles and trends are unique, stylish, and very chic-looking. This year is not only about accepting the natural curls, but also the wavy and fluffy texture.

We, at StyleFundas, have come up with a list of the trendiest, latest, and in-fashion haircuts just for you all to own the 2022 look with confidence and charm! Look at them below and know which is ‘The One’ for you this year.

It seems like the bob is going to stay with us this 2022 too! This haircut is going to remain at the forefront with so many variations which you’ll see in the upcoming haircuts. Since then, it has never been out of fashion and I don’t think that it will be anytime soon!

    3) Modern Rachel Cut

Jennifer Anniston first had that ‘Rachel Hair-cut’ in the popular American Sitcom ‘Friends’. This haircut is back in style with some new variations! It is longer, lets your face have more focus and the bangs extend up-to-the chin.

    4) Dimensional Pixie Bob Cut

Pixie cuts have always been versatile and adding those dimensional layers to it makes it more awesome. This in turn gives it a bob-cut finish making it one of the trends of 2022.

    5) Bixie Cut

A bixie is a combination of the bob cut and the pixie haircut making both the haircuts distinctly noticeable in this one. This 90s haircut has become a sensation already.

    6) Blunt Bangs

Kaley Cuoco, an American actress, and producer, gives a push to the blunt bangs, leaving her signature curtain bangs behind.

    7) Bottleneck Bangs
