For those of you who’re wondering what a “funda” is, it’s Indian English (yes, that’s a term too) for fundamentals or philosophies of life that someone lives by. Welcome to my little world, where I share my thoughts, feelings, views, and unabashed opinions!
But who am I?
I’m Dipti Parmar – your typical girl next door. By profession I’m a digital marketing consultant. If that sounds very vague to you, don’t worry… it is! My work requires me to be creative all the time, help startups and online stores figure out how to sell more of their products, and improve the brand reputation of companies and individuals.
But hey, I’m a woman first! I have dreams, aspirations and things that I want to pursue in my free time. So far, I was so occupied in my career that I never found time for a hobby that is close to my heart – writing about style and fashion. Why writing? Because you can’t talk on a blog, can you?
Ever since I was a teenager, my friends never stopped raving about my fashion sense. Wherever I worked, my coworkers complimented me on my dressing and makeup. And they coaxed me to share my “secrets.” I started receiving offers to be a “shopping consultant” from friends, family, and even professional designers and event managers to help out with weddings and other occasions. So I decided to DO SOMETHING with my talent (I suppose I can call it that).
The result is a baby called StyleFundas.com.
What is this site about?
To begin with, StyleFundas is a fashion and lifestyle blog. Nonetheless, as a working woman who’s passionate about feminism and women’s issues, I will also invite women who are successful in their professions or pursuits, and who inspire other women to do more, to share their beliefs and motivations with us.
It’s still early days, so I don’t know where else this is going to lead!
