How to Double Your Beauty and Glow During Quarantine?

With the invisible enemy making us afraid of our own shadow because social distancing is the need of the hour. With the entire world coming to a pause and standing in solidarity in the fight against the CORONA VIRUS, we should not forget that life is beautiful.

And when it gives you thousands of reasons to break down, it is the one that drives you and reminds you that being alive is wonderful. Trust me, at the end of the day, life is beautiful and so are you! And, you cannot let an easy takeaway when it comes to your beauty and glow during the quarantine.

What I think is staying at home with no-going-outside should not necessarily steal away your radiance. So, why not utilize the lock down and pamper yourself to a better version of you? Here is my routine to double my beauty and glow during the period of quarantine!

Early to Bed and Early to Rise… It’s My Mantra and That’s Why I Am Wise!

Jokes apart, waking up early in the morning is magical. Yes, although none of us has to rush to work like before, waking up late is not going to help you in any way.

However, if you make early rising a habit, you’ll realize what you were missing by being a late-riser. Not only the early hours are spiritually crucial, but you also get a lot of me-time if you wake up early. You can use this time on self-development. You can practice meditation and yoga, read yourself your favorite authors, or do whatever that makes you happy.

Don’t forget, if you are happy, it shows on your face.

Keeping yourself hydrated is the key!

Start your day with a glass of hot or warm water. The first thing I do, after I wake up, is hydrate myself with a glass of hot water with honey and lemon or honey and turmeric. It helps me catalyze my workout sessions and aids in weight loss. And, most importantly, it helps in flushing out toxins from the body. No matter how busy you are, don’t forget to drink, drink, and drink!

Take special care of your hands!

With no house help around, probably it’s you who must be doing all your household chores on your own. And it means detergents, dishwashing liquids, floor cleaner, sanitizers every time, all the time, resulting in dry and rough hands, brittle nails and all, right?

However, it’s alright that you cannot say ‘NO’ to all that household stuff, you can’t ignore your hands either. So, apply hand creams frequently. It will ensure that your hands remain soft and beautiful. Also, you can try some homemade hand packs. Here are some home remedies for soft hands –

The right foot care for petal-soft heels!

With no pedicure appointment for more than 2-months, your feet might feel damn tired and less-taken care of, isn’t it? Just like you take care of your hands, your feet too deserve some pampering. Take some time out from your busy schedule and get good foot treatment right from the ingredients in your kitchen. If you ignore them for long, it might lead to severely cracked and painful heels. I prefer soaking my feet into a tub of lukewarm water with a few drops of my favorite essential oil. You can try many more things at home.

I like the neem and turmeric thing. It works so well on my skin.

Haircare is imperative!

Probably, bad hair days don’t bother you anymore. Seemingly, a messy bun or a braid is your go-to hairdo for some time now. No matter what, you cannot ignore your tresses. In fact, with the quarantine mode on, you have got enough time to take care of your hair that was otherwise a challenge to you. When it comes to your hair, applying oil is the best thing you could do with your mane. It nourishes and moisturizes magically. Also, you can try different hair masks according to your skin type and concerns to make sure that your hair is well taken care of no matter what.

There is no excuse not to workout!

When it comes to keeping that youthful radiance and sculpted look intact, you have to indulge in physical activity(s) of some kind or other. I have some excellent workouts for you that you can do at your home without having to need any gym or equipment.

This Walk at Home by Leslie Sansone my favorite. It has exercising intervals right from 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 to 45 minutes and even for 1 hour that you can do according to your tolerance capacity. The best thing – it shows different exercises for the whole body. It is one of the best work from home exercises, as far as I know. And, the icing on the cake, the way she says, WALK WALK WALK … I just love it! Also, you can do some squats, crunches, and planks for focussing on your problem areas, including your hands, legs, and abs.

Cook good food. Eat good food. You’ll glow for sure!

Whenever I post or share any picture or video of something that I tried my hands on, Ahem! Ahem!!, Of course, it has to be food, my friends tease me. They say, “you nailed it, darling. Next time you’ll be the next celebrity chef for sure“. Yes, I love to cook. Believe me or not, cooking with your hearts’ content not only helps you make delicious food, but it also uplifts your mood, at least for me, it does. Also, when your mood is light and you are satisfied, you glow from within. So, Cook. Eat. Stay Fit. Glow. Repeat!
